Autism Specialist Teacher- Enfield

Come join the team at this rated outstanding school in Enfield, a special education school who have particular experience working with children with Autism. Here you will be working with nursery and primary aged students with Autism, renowned for its celebration of strengths and differences in their students. Your role will involve helping individuals with complex needs to build relationships, knowledge and skills and develop independence.

They are looking for a teacher for a role starting January 2020. You will be teaching a year 2/3 class with children with severe autism and speech and lamguage difficulties with some element of challenging behaviour. We need a headstrong and experienced class teacher to take on this role due to the nature of the needs of the children. The children are learning below the national curriculum level for their age so we need flexible and inventive individuals who are able to make learning adaptable to their students.

Individuals with experience using PECS, Makaton or BSL are highly desireable as well as those who have undertaken Team Teach training.

Teaching candidates will:

-Be a qualified teacher (we will ask for your certification)

-Be legally allowed to work in the UK

-Be caring, compassionate and have a passion for education

- Have either paid or personal experience with SEN
