Do you have experience working with children or adults who require personal care?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking individuals who outgoing individuals who have an interest in working with pupils outside of mainstream schooling in the Totton area. The school is a specifically designed to develop a learning environment for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This nurturing environment and high ratio of teaching staff provides autistic pupils with the opportunity to develop their academic ability, social and communication skills.

The role will require candidates to support SEN teachers, by working closely on a 1:1 basis with pupils with varying levels of needs. The role will coordinate with current staff, working with up to 3 other Learning Support Assistants in a classroom at any one time. Successful applicants will be responsible to engaging pupils in their education, working to outlined sessions and Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP).

The school is registered with the National Autistic Society (NAS) and utilises the TEACCH inclusive autistic education programme. So if applicants have any additional qualifications or training such as: Team Teach, TEACCH and SCIP Training this will be hugely beneficial.

About the role:

  • Earning potential of between £260 - £325 per week, dependent on experience and qualifications
  • 1:1 or small group basis with pupils - engaging with a number of daily tasks and responsibilities
  • 30am - 4.15pm (Monday - Friday)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
