Autism (ASC) Teaching Assistant wanted for the summer term

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a school based in Coventry (CV7) that is looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work from after Easter for the entire summer term. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and caters for pupils aged 11-16 with Autism, complex needs and communication difficulties. Their abilities span the full range of the National Curriculum, which they follow very closely.

This role is to work on a full-time basis in a Year 7 foundation class. The successful candidate must have experience working with pupils of a Secondary age, supporting in schools. Experience working with pupils with Autism is essential. Any additional CPD training such as Team-Teach or Autism Awareness, would be extremely beneficial. You must be able to support academically, as well well as support their needs.

They are looking to interview and trial the first week back after Easter.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
