A residential school in Blandford Forum are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team. This SEN school caters for pupils between the ages of 7 - 19 with autism and associated difficulties. Located in the glorious Dorset countryside with 28 acres of land for play and relaxation, the school boasts many facilities such as a theatre, a sports hall, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, climbing wall, multiple safe play areas and a swimming pool.

To be considered for the role, it is essential you have experience supporting individuals with special needs and have a good understanding of autism.

The successful applicants will work as part of a team under the direction of a teacher assisting students to access a specifically designed curriculum.

The main focus of this role will be to:

  • Support students in lessons
  • Support students during on and off-site activities
  • Support students to make progress in formal learning situations as well as with self-help skills, life skills and social understanding

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
