SEN Teaching Assistant Required, Immediate Start, Manchester, M14

  • Teaching Assistant Required to Work with 2 children with Autism on a 1:1 basis

  • (£11,998 - £15,298)

A client school in Central Manchester, M14, are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support in their Year 1 Class. The ideal Candidate will have experience supporting children in an academic setting and will be comfortable with KS1 curriculum and the Letters & Sounds Phonics Scheme.

This two form entry primary school prides itself on ‘making learning accessible’ for its children and is looking for an energetic Teaching Assistant to support two children with minor Autism on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist the class teacher with general Teaching Assistant Duties where necessary.

The selected applicant will be expected to support two children with specific needs. Both children need encouragement to socialise and integrate with other children in the class and need additional support with completing activities with in class.

This role is to start immediately and will run up until the end of the academic year. The school are looking to arrange trials for the position ASAP.

To be considered for this role, you will:

- Have experience supporting children in KS1

- Be comfortable supporting two children with specific needs on a 1:1 basis

- With have a compassionate attitude towards supporting learning

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
