SEN Teaching Assistant required in Camberwell

  • Committed to providing quality care for individual pupils
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites as necessary
  • Available Full Time, Monday - Friday (8:30-4pm)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEN School in Camberwell. The school caters for pupils aged 11-19 with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, PMLD, SLD, SLCN and MLD. All pupils have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and follow a differentiated curriculum catered to their needs.

Your role will be to support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will support the pupils to access learning activities to meet their needs. You will also be required to support pupils in providing personal and intimate care. You may also be required to assist with feeding over the lunchtime period for individual pupils identified as requiring support in this area.

This is a demanding role that requires a high level of patience, energy and enthusiasm. We welcome applications from those with all levels of experience as we can provide opportunities to develop your skills through our CPD training opportunities, including courses in Assessment for Learning, Effective Behaviour Management and Curriculum Development.
