A specialist college for young people with special educational needs requires a Learning Support Assistant.
Students enjoy a wide range of sessions and activities to promote their learning and independence. Their mission s to create a learning environment that is inclusive and will help students make a successful transition to adulthood through developing their skills, independence and confidence.
Hours of work are 8.30am - 4pm. You are also often required to stay until 5 pm on a Monday for an hour of training - they allow you to attend these sessions for free along with permanent staff members.
Many students require assistance with personal care - you must be prepared to assist with this, and you will not be considered for the role otherwise.
Qualifications are not essential, however you must possess excellent communication skills and be able to use your initiative.
