Autism support in EYFS Bury

Do you have previous experience supporting an Autistic child?

A mainstream Primary School in Bury, M25 are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to their Early Years Foundation Stage team to support a pupil who is due to start school in September with suspected Autism. The Bury school are preparing to put the pupil through a statement process but will be needing support in the meantime.

The pupil is a lovely boy. He is non verbal and not aggressive. He needs support in the classroom, personal care and help integrating with the other pupils. The school are ideally looking for a candidate with experience supporting Autistic pupils in an educational setting. An understanding of the EYFS framework and phonics would be very beneficial.

The School is based in Bury, M25 is easily accessible by local transport links running directly to and from the town centre and surrounding areas. The school has a more than average cohort of pupils with SEN, and as such require additional support staff to work with them to support statemented pupils. They are looking to see people over the next few weeks with the position hoping to start after the Easter break.

• Full time role supporting a pupil with Autism (ASC) in Bury starting in September with the possibility of becoming permanent.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
