EYFS Teaching Assistants required - Oldham, Manchester

A Primary SEN school in Oldham, Manchester requires a number of Teaching Assistants to work within Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful candidates will start on a temporary basis with the potential of becoming permanent.

The school caters for pupils aged 2 to 11 with complex and challenging special educational needs including profound and complex learning difficulties; severe learning difficulties; autism; and a small group with moderate learning difficulties.

It is essential for candidates to have -

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above

• Previous experience in a teaching assistant or care environment

• Previous experience working with pupils with SEN/D

• Previous experience delivering personal care

• Experience working with children and young adults with multi sensory impairments and/or complex learning difficulties and disabilities

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Good written and verbal communication skills

It is desireable for candidates to -

• be Team-Teach trained

• have experience working with Plevels

• have experience using alternative communication aids (e.g. PECS/ BSL)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
