Job description

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of one of our client schools in the Oldham are who are seeking to employ an experienced ASC Teaching Assistant to join their support team from February 2019 until at least July.

  • Full time ASC Teaching Assistant
  • Until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Strong possibility of the role continuing into the new academic year
  • Daily pay rate between £54 and £70 (dependent of experience)
  • Paid weekly in arrears
  • Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' 11-18 school

Our client school is based close to the town centre of Oldham, providing excellent public transport links and proving easily accessible from the majority of Greater Manchester. This 11-18 school has around 1400 students who are enrolled from a broad catchment area including Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Manchester. Recent government grants have meant this old fashioned school is now a multi million pound complex including a recently built sports hall. Ofsted have graded our client school as 'Outstanding' and is a beacon school to the other schools in the area.

The ideal candidate will have experience within an SEND environment, whether in a classroom or in other provisions, in particular our client school would like the ideal candidate to have experience working with students with Autism. A patient and caring attitude will be highly beneficial in this role, and excellent behaviour management skills will be advantageous.
