Are you looking to work within an exciting, creative inclusive and enthusiastic team? Do you want to make a difference to children's education?
A client school is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to work within key stage 2; supporting an individual pupil with additional learning needs. The successful candidate will split time between supporting as a class TA and an individual on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of a wide range of strategies to support learners with additional needs including Autistic Spectrum Condition, dyslexia, ADHD and social and emotional difficulties.
This post is for a fixed term (12 months) to begin as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will have proven ability to work on their own initiative and will demonstrate a commitment to ensuring all children make outstanding progress in their learning and have a great start to their primary education.
The post is 30 hours a week – term time only
Applications are invited from individuals who have:
- Relevant and recent experience of working in a school, preferably in KS2
- At least NVQ2
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C+
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Experience working in 1:1 role to support a child with additional needs
- Ability and confidence to work with a range of children and confidently manage behaviour
- An ability to communicate, work as part of a successful team, take on board advice, use your initiative and meet deadlines
- A great sense of humour!
