Our science department is dedicated to fostering a love for learning and equipping students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Start date: September 2024

Position Available: Science Teacher (September Start)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons that inspire curiosity and critical thinking among students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, investigate phenomena, and collaborate with their peers.
  • Design and implement engaging practical experiments and demonstrations to reinforce scientific concepts.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students and ensure all learners are challenged and supported.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and cross-curricular connections.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in a science-related field (biology, chemistry, physics, or general science).
  • Passion for science education and a commitment to inspiring students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and dynamic classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
  • Previous experience teaching science at the secondary level preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
