1:1 Support Assistant Required, Church of England Primary School, Manchester, M13

Due to staffing changes, a client school in Longsight, Manchester (M13) are looking for a support assistant to work with a year 5 child with ADHD on a 1:1 basis. The post is to start in September and will run up until Christmas initially with the opportunity for extension for the right person!

The school is looking for a dedicated practitioner, who has prior experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours. Academically, the child performs well but requires 1:1 support to ensure that they are on task at all times. The child regularly displays challenging behaviours which can be de-escalated if triggers are noticed early. To be considered for this post, you will have a relaxed/approachable attitude and will be able to build a strong relationship with the child.

This is a small, Church of England Primary School in the Longsight area of Manchester (M13). The school are dedicated to creating a ‘stimulating, caring and supportive environment which meets the needs of every individual’ and is looking for an enthusiastic practitioner to work in their Year 5 class on a full time basis.

To be considered for this post you must have recent and relevant experience supporting children who display challenging behaviour in an educational capacity, or equivalent.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
