ADHD/ADD Teaching Assistant

1:1 Specialist Support Assistant required supporting a year 2 pupil with severe ADHD within a Salford Primary School.

  • Opportunity to secure a position within a ‘Good’ Salford primary school, immediate start running up until at least Easter 2017.
  • This role requires an experienced SSA who has supported pupils with severe ADHD and behavioural difficulties.
  • Excellent classroom based references and up to date knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum is essential for this role.

Teaching personnel are seeking to recruit an experienced specialist support assistant, to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with sever ADHD and behavioural difficulties. The role is to start immediately and continue though until at least Easter 2017, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate. Experience supporting pupils with severe behavioural difficulties, ADHD and working within KS1 setting, with excellent classroom based references is essential for this role.

The Headteacher has expressed an interest in finding a candidate who can be firm but fair and who has experience of working with pupils who require a nurturing approach. The school is larger than average and has a very mixed ethnicity of pupils including Polish and Latvian.

The school is based within the heart of Salford and is easily accessible via all transport links.
