The Special Needs Teaching Assistant
The ideal Special Needs Teaching Assistant must have previous experience supporting those with severe complex needs including PMLD, ASD, SLD and behavioural difficulties, personal care may also be involved. There are currently 3 positions available at this Special School:

  • 1:1 with a Downs Syndrome student in KS2
  • 1:1 with student in KS3 with SLD
  • General support in different classes

The Special Needs School
This SEN School is based in Bournemouth and caters for children from 4-19 years that have severe learning difficulties and other complex needs. The school make it their aim to create a warm, vibrant and friendly environment for their students and treat them all as an extended part of their family. They are currently in the process of expanding and have many opportunities for career progression.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
