1:1 Teaching Assistant - September - Catford - £60-£75 Per day!

I am currently working with a large secondary school within the Catford area of South East London who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a year 7 pupil from September. You must have at least two years childcare/school based experience and you must have a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the online Update Service.

You will be supporting the student during their transition from primary in to secondary, this role will be for 6 months with the potentially of running through until the end of the academic year.

Role Expectations:

  • Ability to build good relationships with children, teachers and parents/carers.
  • Ability to cope with challenging and difficult behaviour.
  • Strong regard for pupil safe-guarding and well-being.
  • Positive approach to working with children and the ability to motivate, inspire and build rapport.
  • Respect for diversity as you will be working with pupils from a range of backgrounds.
  • Excellent team working ability and confident personality.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly.

Additional Experience:

  • Experience of working with Special Educational Needs - Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties.
  • Safeguarding Course Certificate.
  • Additional CPD courses.

Additional requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a DBS check.
  • Proof of career history from the last 6 years.
  • Able to provide 2 career related references.
  • The drive and stamina to exceed school expectations and targets.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
