Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a Mainstream Primary School in Poole who are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with SEN. The child is in the EYFS, has EBD and showing traits of ASD on a 1:1 basis. The school are a supportive and friendly network with excellent facilities.

The successful TAs daily duties will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support for the child
  • Supporting the child inside and outside the classroom
  • Helping the child to socially interact with other children
  • Use your initiative to differentiate activities to support the child's needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher to give he child the best support
  • Follow an EHC plan and reward system for the child

To be a successful candidate for this role you will need to:

  • Have previous experience working within a school supporting children with SEN
  • Be able to communicate effectively with different members of staff and parents
  • Have knowledge of the EYFS and National Curriculum
  • Have a friendly caring personality
  • Preferably an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning in the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
