Are you looking to work full time within a mainstream Primary school?

A Large 3 form entry Primary School in Trafford, Altrincham, WA15 is looking for a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to begin working as soon as possible. The role the school is looking to fill is in Year 4 and will involve working 1:1 with a boy that has Autism. The role will be for the rest of the academic year.

The school are looking for someone with previous experience in working with autism on a 1:1 basis. it is essential that the pupils reacts positively to his 1:1 teaching assistant so the school will be looking to conduct trial days as soon as possible in order gain a feel for who would be best suited to fulfil the role.

The boy is very intelligent but struggles socially and finds it' hard to adapt to the classroom as well as socialising outside of the classroom. The school are looking for someone with previous experience in working with Autism as they want to give the boy the best possible support. The role will involve working 1:1 a majority of the time inside the classroom but will also involve supporting the class teacher when necessary.

In the schools most recent Ofsted report during the previous academic year they were graded "good". The school are looking to maintain this standard whist improving where they can. The successful candidate will receive lots of support from current staff in order to succeed within the role.
