Are you looking to gain more experience working with children in an education environment?

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a Welsh Medium Primary School in Pontypridd, seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual with the ability to speak Welsh fluently to work as a learning support assistant. Within this role you will be working alongside a child in Foundation Phase who has been diagnosed with autism. You do not need experience working within a school for this role, however experience working with children with additional learning needs in another environment is desirable.

What do daily responsibilities look like in this role?

-          Supporting the child with reading and writing

-          Leading small groups of reading sessions

-          Supporting the child with social interaction in the class

-          De-escalating situations if necessary

-          Preparing classroom for each lesson and activity

-          Ensuring classroom is tidy at the end of the day

What are the vetting requirements?

-          Enhanced Child Only DBS

-          Registration with the Education Workforce Council

-          2x professional references

-          Valid UK Passport
