Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in the Poole area, seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis.

This is a part time role, for mornings only, 5 days a week. The role will involve supporting a pupil in Key Stage 2 on a 1:1 basis, both inside and outside of the classroom. The pupil can display challenging behaviour and requires additional support.

The school has a very supportive leadership team and are well know for developing their staff. This would be an ideal opportunity for somebody looking to develop a career within education.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting behaviour, either within a school or another childcare setting. You should have a positive approach to behaviour management and be confident working on a 1:1 basis. Experience within a school setting is desirable, however candidates with relevant experience (e.g. youth work) would also be considered.

This role is to start ASAP and is ongoing for the academic year. The rate of pay for this position is £9 per hour. You will also be opted onto a workplace pension and have access to our recommend a friend bonus. Teaching Personnel also offer a range of CPD courses, including Team Teach.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
