Youth Worker (Pupil Referral Unit)

We currently have behaviour support positions for youth workers in a multi-site provision in Croydon. The role is to start immediately on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00pm hours on average) and continue through the academic year.

With 7 sites across Croydon, South West London we are looking for experienced, passionate and readily available youth workers. Having confidence with academic support is vital but there will be a continued requirement of staff to support pupils emotional needs.  

The provision caters for pupils with social and emotional mental health difficulties across KS2, KS3 and KS4. Excellent behaviour management and communication skills are essential to this role due to the varying needs of the pupils. Positive Handling/Intervention such as PRICE, MAPA or Team Teach is ideal but not essential.

The provision has multiple vacancies and will be holding interviews for those successful with hope to get the right applicants starting immediately (dependant on valid DBS on the update service).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
