Youth Worker-Oldham

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Do you have experience working with young people with SEMH or behaviour needs?

We're recruiting for a school which caters for secondary age children who are currently outside of education.
This may be due to needing emotional or mental support, or they are struggling within the mainstream school environment.
A youth worker will help support them with both their educational needs, helping to explain work and stay focused in the classroom, and mentoring them to cope better socially and emotionally for later in life.
Candidates should be prepared to deal with challenging behaviour, therefore a resilient personality and training in courses such as Team-Teach would be ideal.

We consider all types of experience so if you feel you could be right for this role, please apply with your CV and a consultant will get back to you if you are successful.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
