Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a large mixed comprehensive secondary school in the heart of Wigan town centre for Youth Work based teaching assistants. The school are looking for suitably qualified candidates to join their support team as soon as possible.
Please see below the details of the positions available;
- Full time and part time opportunities available
- Earn up to £300 per week, depending upon previous experience
- Opportunity to gain a permanent post
- Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary school
- Central location which offers excellent public transport links to the surrounding areas.
Due to the increase in pupils on roll this coming academic year, the school wish to appoint both full time and part time Youth Work specialists who have previously worked with young people with challenging behaviour, vulnerable backgrounds and disengagement.
Responsibilities will include;
- Working with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, both inside and outside of the classroom
- Supporting the class teacher with day to day activities
- Reinforcing positive behaviour management strategies
- Recording progress and reporting back to the Inclusion Manager
