Youth Work- Learning Support Assistants- Secondary school- Warrington

Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with our client secondary school in Warrington to source Youth Workers to work as Learning Support Assistants on a daily basis. Further, due to the high amounts of cover needed at present, work is available immediately!

These are fantastic opportunities for anyone with any youth work experience to transfer their skillset in a formal educational setting and make a positive contribution to young people's lives.

  • Learning Support Assistants
  • Youth Work experience preferred
  • Regular, on-going work in a high achieving secondary school located in central Warrington
  • Possibility of working on a long term basis as their main cover option
  • Perfect preparation for those thinking of completing any teacher training in the future

The role of a Learning Support Assistant within our client secondary school is to support learning across the whole school by delivering pre-set work in all subjects and ensuring the pupils stay on task through effective behaviour management. You will be required to use previous experience to build rapport effectively and to overcome any apathy to learning. You are not expected to plan any lessons etc, moreover to make sure pupils engage within their lessons and support their learning wherever possible.

Our client secondary school has made the most progress out of all within the local area over the last couple of years. There is also a harmonious environment throughout the school with pupils showing high amounts of respect to all staff. This makes it an ideal environment to gain more experience in.

Further, Teaching Personnel are the preferred choice of agency for several secondary schools in Warrington meaning that work is available regularly and immediately in other schools also.

To register your interest in these positions, please send a full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, please contact the Manchester West Secondary branch for further information.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
