An excellent opportunity has arisen for a year 6 teaching assistant to work in an average sized Roman Catholic Primary school, based in Oldham. Teaching Personnel is working alongside this school to appoint an excellent teaching assistant on a full time, long term basis.

The role will be a full time teaching assistant role in the KS2 department, with a lovely Year 6 class. It is to start immediately and will be ongoing with the high possibility of continuing for the rest of the academic year.

Pupils at this school make good progress and love to learn. They are really well behaved and are very friendly. The teachers have high expectations of the pupils and make great lessons plans to cater to their pupils' individual needs. There is high staff morale within the school; they are committed and ambitious. The teachers look after their children really well in this school and the teacher/student relationship is a real strength. The KS2 department is very supportive and inclusive, and children make good progress.

The Oldham primary school has a good reputation. It is constantly working to raise attainment levels across both key stages, and therefor wants to recruit a year 6 teaching assistant who has a real passion to help their students to excel in their learning. The successful teaching assistant will be helping the year 6 students with SATS preparation, helping with interventions and assisting with booster classes. Experience with students in year 6 is essential.
