Graduate Teaching Programme
Job description
Graduated? Ready for your next step?
If you’re considering a career in teaching, our Graduate Teaching Programme gives you the opportunity to gain practical classroom experience, train on the job and work towards becoming a qualified teacher.
You’ll be based in a secondary school, gaining hands-on experience while being supported throughout your training. It’s a chance to learn the job properly, develop your teaching skills and build a career in education.
What the programme involves
As a trainee teacher, you’ll:
- Work in a secondary school alongside experienced teachers
- Develop your teaching and classroom management skills
- Plan and deliver lessons as your training progresses
- Support students across different abilities and year groups
- Learn how to create positive and effective learning environments
- Receive guidance and feedback from experienced teaching staff
- Take part in structured training alongside your school-based experience
- Work towards gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Who is it for?
This programme is ideal for graduates who want to become teachers and are ready to gain real experience in the classroom.
You could be a recent graduate, currently working in another sector, or already have some experience working with young people.
We’re looking for people who are:
✔️ Passionate about helping young people succeed
✔️ Confident communicators
✔️ Organised, reliable and professional
✔️ Open to feedback and keen to develop
✔️ Resilient and able to adapt
✔️ Serious about building a career in teaching
You don’t need to have classroom experience already. What matters is that you have the right attitude, commitment and motivation to learn.
Why choose a graduate teaching programme?
Earn while you train
Gain valuable experience in a school while developing your teaching career.
Learn on the job
Put your training into practice every day rather than learning solely from a classroom.
Build real experience
Work alongside experienced teachers and gain an understanding of what teaching is really like.
Develop your career
Build the skills, experience and qualifications needed to progress into a teaching career.
Start your teaching career. Gain experience. Train with support. Make a difference.
