Are you a patient, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are currently working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Roehampton that are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a full-time basis. These roles offer the opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils' learning, confidence and wellbeing while gaining valuable experience within supportive school environments.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis, delivering targeted interventions to small groups, or working alongside the class teacher to ensure all children can access learning effectively.

You could be supporting pupils with:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• ADHD
• SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
• Speech and Language difficulties
• Moderate learning difficulties and additional learning needs

Key Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
• Assisting with classroom organisation and lesson preparation
• Implementing support strategies set by the class teacher and SENCo
• Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Contributing to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

• Experience working with children or young people
• SEN experience is highly desirable, though not essential

• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
