  • Experience teaching Year 6
  • Committed to getting all children to achieve optimal results
  • Self-motivated, with ability to motivate children of all abilities
  • Knowledge of child development required
  • Be able to supply references for the past 2 years at least
  • Have a DBS on the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering the Curriculum in a fun and stimulating way
  • Planning creative lessons and preparing teaching materials
  • Providing a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Keeping records of progress, providing feedback
  • Encouraging pupils to be independent and reflective
  • High expectation of children's behaviour and being able to manage it
  • Communicating with parents on regular basis about pupil progress
  • Other requirements like after-school clubs, teaching meetings, and parent evenings
