Year 6 Intervention Teacher needed - Salford (M7) Primary School

A Primary School in the Salford (M7) area is currently searching to find a KS2 SATS intervention Teacher to help raise attainment in Maths and English.

  • Working across Year 6 helping to raise pupil attainment in both Maths and English in preparation for SATs.
  • 'Good' Ofsted graded Salford Primary School.
  • Continuous Professional Development high on the agenda to develop all staff.

The role at this Salford Primary School will involve working with identified groups of children in year 6 to develop their confidence and motivation for Maths and English to raise their attainment n the build up to SATs through intervention.

The role will involve working a long side the class room teacher to assess, plan and deliver group lessons. You will also be responsible for evaluating the children's progress following the schools assessment scheme. The groups will all be a similar level from lower ability groups to the most able.

The Salford Primary School is much larger than average and has a specialised ASC provision. Because of this, the school has a much larger than average proportion of pupil with special educational needs and so experiences work with pupil's with additional needs is essential. The school are looking for a confident and hard working intervention teacher to support the year 6 pupils and develop their confidence in Maths and English.

They are ideally looking for teachers who have experience in similar roles and with year 6 SATs. The role will be starting on the 25th February 2019 and will last until the end of the academic year.
