The Headteacher of a one form entry Primary School in Preston is looking for a strong Upper KS2 Teacher to begin on school to cover maternity leave from November 2019.
ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:
The Headteacher of a one form entry Primary School in Preston is looking for an experienced KS2 teacher to begin on school to cover maternity leave from November 2019 within the Year 5 Class. To be considered for this position, candidates MUST have experience delivering the National Curriculum to pupils across KS2 within the last 12 months. Candidates must be able to manage challenging behaviour effectively and differentiate their teaching style to suit varying needs and abilities of children in the class whilst planning for a full time Level 3 Teaching Assistant. This role is to cover a planned absence in school and will begin from 11th November 2019.
ABOUT YOUR NEW SCHOOL:
The school is one form entry and has around 190 pupils on roll and is generally over-subscribed. The majority of the children are from the local community which is considered to be ‘mainly working class’. The percentage of children with Special Educational Needs are above average. There are more children attending this school who receive additional funding through pupil premium funding. The School is currently graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and the Headteacher continues to drive the school forward to improve standards in all areas.
The Head teacher is approachable and has an excellent reputation with the local area and is well known within the Lancashire Education Sector. As she has been in post over the last few years; the Head teacher has grown her team into a group of people who are sensitive to the children’s needs and one that are keen to make a difference every day.
