Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Altrincham to recruit a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October 2026.

The successful candidate will inspire and motivate pupils throughout Upper Key Stage 2, fostering a love of learning while supporting both academic achievement and personal development.

The Role

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress to support attainment and development.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners within the classroom.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and pupil wellbeing.
• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support school improvement.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Is passionate about delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
• Can motivate and inspire pupils of varying abilities.
• Possesses strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant KS2 placement experience are warmly encouraged to apply.
