Year 5 Teacher (Full-Time)

Swinton | October Start | ⏰ Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Swinton, seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from October 2026.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a positive impact within a well-established Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils' academic and personal development, and helping to create a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Year 5 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages participation and achievement
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to maximise pupil outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and attend meetings, training, and CPD opportunities

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5
  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Can adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning needs
  • Is enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils
  • Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
