Year 5 Teacher (Full-Time)
Swinton | October Start | ⏰ Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a friendly and supportive primary school in Swinton, seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from October 2026.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to make a positive impact within a well-established Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils' academic and personal development, and helping to create a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
As the Year 5 Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages participation and achievement
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where necessary
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to maximise pupil outcomes
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and attend meetings, training, and CPD opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Has a secure understanding of the National Curriculum
- Can adapt teaching strategies to support a range of learning needs
- Is enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils
- Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
