Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rusholme that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time role starting in September.

The Role

As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupils' academic progress while encouraging confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress to ensure all learners achieve their potential
  • Providing clear and effective feedback to support continued development
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to share ideas, resources, and best practice
  • Participating in wider school activities and ongoing professional development opportunities

About You

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be confident adapting learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider school community
  • Be confident using technology to enhance teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
