The Opportunity

As Year 5 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that inspire pupils to reach their full potential academically and personally.

You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils and support individual progress
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil achievement, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and supported
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development
  • Work closely with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to whole-school improvement
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community
  • Play an active role in school life and ongoing professional development opportunities

About You

We are looking for a teacher who can bring energy, creativity, and commitment to the classroom.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain high expectations
  • A thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • The ability to adapt lessons to support a diverse range of learners
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confidence in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed and flourish

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
