The Role

As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they progress through Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inspiring classroom environment where all children can achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using data effectively to inform teaching
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture where children feel safe, supported, and motivated
• Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil achievement
• Contribute to wider school life, including enrichment activities and school events

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective classroom practice
• Excellent behaviour management skills and high expectations of pupil achievement
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to professional development
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing
