Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Sale to recruit a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a full-time position starting in October.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated teacher to join a thriving Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, supporting pupils' progress, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 curriculum and National Curriculum expectations.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform planning and intervention.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports all learners.
  • Establish high expectations for behaviour, learning, and achievement.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and school leaders to promote high standards across the school.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers.
  • Contribute to school events, enrichment opportunities, and ongoing school development.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Be confident planning and delivering lessons that challenge and engage all learners.
  • Possess excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
  • Be committed to raising attainment and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
