A primary school situated in Darwen are looking to recruit an experienced KS2 Teacher for their Year 4 class. The role is to officially start 19th April 2021; however, the Head Teacher would like the successful candidate to attend the school several days prior to this in order to ensure a smooth transition.

The school in question has recently been awarded ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted. All staff have high expectations and share their passion for education with their pupils. Generally, behaviour across the school is good; however, behaviour in this Year 4 class is known to be challenging. Accordingly, the Head Teacher is keen to secure a teacher with experience of managing challenging behaviour effectively and achieving progress in this area. You will be fully supported by the Head Teacher and the fellow members of the Senior Leadership Team, as well as the SENCo and Inclusion Officer within school. Staff have highlighted that they feel valued and know that the SLT work hard to ensure that they have an appropriate work-life balance.

The successful candidate will be expected to work closely alongside their partner teacher within lower Key Stage 2 to ensure consistency and to share workload, e.g. planning. Accordingly, good teamwork and communication is essential.

Experience of co-ordinating a subject within school is desirable, but not essential.

-          Full-time (Mon-Fri)

-          Temp – Perm Contract

-          April 2021 start

-          Full Class Teacher role – Year 4

-          GBP100 - GBP140 per day
