I am currently advertising for a Year 2 role to start in September with the view to continuing for the remainder of the 2018/2019 academic year. This role will be an exciting opportunity for any teacher who is either starting in their career or possibly looking for a new challenge.
The expectations:
The expectations at this school and in this role are high. You will be expected to undertake the full role of the class teacher which includes full planning, delivery and assessment of the National Curriculum. The School is Ofsted GOOD and due to the nature of the Senior Leadership Team there is a wealth of support in place for new arrivals and new teachers to the team. As the school is currently two form entry, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside the other class teachers, planning and moderating work.
The role:
The role is to work in a Year 2 class, preparing the children for the end of year SATs. It is important that you are experienced in working towards the SATs and you can confidently work alongside children with a variety of needs, both socially and academically. The Head teacher has specified that the children who will be working in this Year 2 class next year are very bright and so it is important that you are able to move the children on in their learning. You will be expected to plan and deliver daily phonics work to enhance Reading and Writing opportunities. The School are currently using Letters and Sounds as their main whole class Phonics Scheme but also use Read Write Inc. as an intervention scheme to boost Reading and Writing. You must be confident in the delivery and the planning of additional support staff surrounding this in order to be considered.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
