Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large Primary school in the heart of Chorley who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work alongside lower attaining pupils in Year 6, some of which have special educational needs such as Autism. The children in this class are described as 'happy and engaged' by the Headteacher, however she has noted that they are looking for someone with good knowledge of Maths to help the group through their SATs.
Experience working with children with special educational needs is essential for this role. This position will begin ASAP and run for one term at least; in order to see how well the children engages with the teaching assistant. Teaching Personnel also have a number of opportunities for short term work. This is the busiest time for course cover, sickness and release time. Do not wait to contact me! We are receiving phone calls already to pre book supply after the holidays.
We aim to ensure local work is offered to you and you are given as much time as possible to get to the school and prepare yourself for the working day. We will also offer advice and information on the school catchment area to ensure you are comfortable in going into school and you are 100% suitable. As part of the supply day, we will ensure that verbal feedback is taken from Senior Leaders/Business Managers and fed back to you as soon as possible. Pay for roles of this nature start at £9 - £10.50 per hour.
