Year 6 Intervention Teacher needed in Euxton
Are you looking to secure a part time position?
Do you have proven track record delivering Maths/English interventions in KS2
Then look no further....
A Primary School in Euxton are looking to employ an experienced, Fully Qualified Teacher to work part time in the Year 6 class. The role is to deliver high quality booster sessions in order to prepare the pupils for their SATS which will commence in the Summer Term.
The position is temporary until SATS time, however if you get on well there may be the opportunity to continue working alongside the current Y5 pupils therefore if you are looking for a long-term role this an excellent opportunity! The position will be working in the mornings Monday to Thursday and the Practitioner will be required to deliver Interventions predominantly focused on; English, Maths and SPAG.
The Head Teacher has noted she wants a lively candidate who can provide engaging interventions in an interactive way to encourage the children to enjoy learning. She has also stated that the Teacher must have past experience with Year 6 SATS and has a good understanding of relevant safeguarding and behaviour policies and training. The majority of pupils are white British and the behaviour of the pupils within school is said to be 'Good', however, there is a mixed catchment of children so the school does cater Pupil Premium Children and some Looked After Children (LAC). The ability is very mixed, touching all the bases of 'Below, At or Exceeding Age Related Expectations'.
The salary is based on a 4 hour day, Monday to Friday mornings, and depending on experience, this could vary between £50-£75 per half day.
