Science Graduate Teaching Assistant

A client Secondary school of Teaching Personnel have requested for us to recruit a Science Graduate in preparation for the new academic year in September.

They would like to appoint a Science Graduate to work within the Schools Science department working as a teaching assistant and providing tuition and support to students.

• Science Graduate required for September 2024.
• Pay in line with previous experiences - £85 – £100 per day.
• 12 month temporary position starting in the new academic year.
• Located in Bolton, accessible via the M61.

The Head of Science would like to appoint a Science graduate to work within the schools Science department during the new academic year starting in September. You will be employed on a temporary basis for 12 months. This is the ideal opportunity for you to gain key experience working in a Secondary school setting, developing key skills prior to completing your teacher training in the future.

What does the role involve?

• Working alongside teaching staff within the department (Planning and preparing lessons and providing support to the class teacher during class)
• Supporting the learning of students who require additional guidance during lesson
• Working with small groups of identified pupils to raise attainment in Science

The school is average in size with roughly 1030 pupils on roll and was graded ‘Good’ across the board in their most recent Ofsted. Located on the outskirts of Farnworth this school is just a 5 minute drive away from the m61 and is easily accessible via public transport from the surrounding areas; Salford, Bury, Chorley and Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
