Y5 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS11

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting Year 5 children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities
  • Providing one-on-one support to pupils with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual pupils
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Further qualifications in SEN support
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Temporary position with the potential for extension
  • Work within a supportive school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
