Y5 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS18

Job Type:

Temporary, Full-Time hours

£85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to Year 5 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for SEN students
  • Support students in their learning and development, both academically and socially
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of SEN students

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (predominantly SEMH, ASD and ADHD)
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Experience working in a school or educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN best practises
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in SEN support

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment

  • Full-time hours, temporary position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
