Teaching Personnel is the UK’s leading education recruitment agency. We are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to workat one of our Welsh Medium Primary Schools in the Cardiff area. The school is a two form primary school which will take on 30 new pupils at Easter therefore they are looking to increase the number of teaching assistants to support across the Foundation Phase. 

What the role of a classroom assistant involves:

• working within the class to support the class teacher with their lessons
• working alongside a team of support staff in class
• working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require additional support

This is a temporary position but there is the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate must:

• have experience or have an interest in working with children aged 3 - 11
• be resilient
• be a Fluent Welsh Speaker

To be successful in this role it is desirable if you:

• have experience working within a school setting
• have experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties
• be resilient and confident working with challenging behaviour
• Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant
• Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
• be nurturing and enthusiastic
• have experience in delivering outdoor education/experience within the sports industry
