Job description

Full Time Teaching Assistant

Vulnerable Learner Support

West Cardiff

Initial contract until July 2024

Pay from £12.90/hr.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside one of Cardiff’s largest ALN support hubs to recruit Teaching Assistants for their new intake of pupils.

You will be responsible for encouraging and developing a positive learning environment for the students that you support. Working with vulnerable students (anxious learners, pupils with English as an Additional Language, children with Additional Learning Needs, and those from underprivileged backgrounds), you will support and motivate students to achieve their best across a full spectrum of subjects.

The school are looking for candidates with previous Teaching Assistant/LSA experience, or experience working with young people (0-18) with ALN in an alternative setting, and a can-do attitude to support these learners through this key stage in their education. This is an incredibly rewarding role where no day is the same; the students take part in a mix of mainstream and alternative provision learning so a desire to engage them in learning using creative methods is essential!

As an LSA with Teaching Personnel you have:

  • Access to CPD Academy – free and heavily discounted courses to support your progression.
  • Dedicated support from your sector specialist consultant throughout the process.
  • Access to exclusive partnership roles
  • Up to £250 per friend or family member you refer over to us!
  • Access to the TP app where you can view and amend your bookings and control your availability using the online diary!
