Graduate Teaching Assistant

Cardiff

Starting ASAP

Full Time; 32.5 hrs per week

We are actively recruiting for a passionate Graduate TA to work within a large and diverse Additional Needs Provision in Cardiff. The provision supports learners in KS3 – KS5 (11-18) with a range of additional learning needs including Autism, ADHD, Physical Disabilities & challenging behaviours.

The Role:

As a graduate, the experience and knowledge taken from your degree is a huge asset when working with children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), regardless of what subject you studied. Day to day you will be supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs including Autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and physical disabilities. The support required will vary depending on the pupil to include positive behaviour management and supporting the child in accessing the National Curriculum in the best way for them – whether this is through sports, art, music or engaging in the students’ hobbies and interests.

The school are looking for graduates who:

-         Are passionate about education and supporting young people to achieve their best.

-         Want a varied and interesting Graduate Role where they can make a real difference.

-         Want a Full-Time, long-term role for the academic year (at least)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
