Make a Difference in Darlington – One Child at a Time with TP Tutors

That’s why we work closely with local authorities across the region to provide targeted, high-impact tuition for the children and young people who need it most.
We’re currently looking for qualified teachers and experienced tutors in the Darlington area to join our mission. You’ll work one-to-one with pupils outside of mainstream education, helping them re-engage with learning, grow in confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Who You’ll Support in Darlington:
You’ll be working with local children and young people who may be:

Looked After Children living in care settings
-
Pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
-
Young people who are excluded or awaiting school placements
-
Children experiencing anxiety, trauma, or poor mental health
-
EAL/ESOL learners new to the UK or developing English skills
-
Pupils in both primary and secondary age groups
These learners often need more than a tutor—they need a trusted adult who can offer consistency, encouragement, and belief in their potential.
What You’ll Do:

Deliver in-person, tailored tuition sessions in and around Darlington

Liaise with parents, carers, and social workers to arrange and plan lessons

Assess individual needs and create bespoke learning plans

Track progress using our user-friendly LEAP platform

Access regular support, resources, and CPD via the TP Tutors Academy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
