Job Title: KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

Job Duties:

The English, Maths and Science KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage 3. This includes creating individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, and assessing student progress regularly. The tutor will also collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant degree in Education or a related field

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Experience working with students with SEN

Prior experience working with students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum in English, Maths, and Science

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

- Proficiency in creating and implementing individualised learning plans

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis in an educational setting (learners homes or local libraries). The tutor will need to travel to different locations within the East of England region to deliver outreach support to students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
