Job description

Job Title: KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Ardleigh

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide high-quality English and Maths tutoring to KS3 students in an outreach setting
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at KS3 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at KS3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time position with flexible hours
  • Work in outreach settings, travelling to student homes or local libraries
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
