Job Title: GCSE SEN Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in English and Maths GCSE subjects.
  • Create individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Deliver engaging lessons and activities to enhance students' understanding and academic progress.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a tutor or teacher in a similar role.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN principles and best practises in teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a temporary, part-time position with flexible hours.
  • Work will primarily be conducted at student's home.
  • May require travel to different locations within the East of England.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
