Job description

Cover Supervisor- B36, Birmingham- ASAP Start- Full Time

A mainstream secondary school which has recently been rated a "Good" provider by Ofsted is seeking to hire a confident and experienced cover supervisor to work on a full time basis.

The successful applicant will need to step in and deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects, in the absence of the main class teacher.

 

You will be providing continuity and structure for the children to ensure they do not miss out on valuable learning time.

Start date: ASAP

Rate of pay: £95-130 (per day, dependent upon experience)

Location: Birmingham, B36

 

Job Roles/Responsibilities

Follow lesson plans outlined by class teacher and deliver engaging lessons to students across Years 7-11

Step up in the absence of the class teacher, providing continuity of learning for the students

Confidently manage classroom behaviour and keep all pupils on task

Ensure pupils complete all work to the best of their ability and provide support to students who may require it

Follow schools policies and procedures at all times, remaining a committed stance to safeguarding

Maintain a clean, safe and tidy learning environment

 

If you have:

Previous experience working as a cover supervisor or similar role

Previous experience working within schools in the UK

A genuine passion for education

A desire to become a teacher in the future and want to gain classroom experience
